Within a business, there are two roles: business admin and business member.
-
Business admins can view and edit business information. They can view all ad accounts within the business and create new ones. They can view all people within a business, invite new people to a business, assign them to business and ad account roles, and update people’s roles at any time. Business admins will receive all transactional emails for all ad accounts within the business, and can edit the ad accounts’ billing, tax, and payment information. Multiple people within the business can have the business admin role.
-
Business members can view their own information and the business admin(s) information on the People page. They can also view the ad accounts that they have been assigned to on the Ad accounts page.
The business admin(s) can assign or update someone’s business role by navigating to the People page from the left hand side bar and clicking on the gear icon (settings) next to that person’s email address.
*We recommend assigning the business admin role to more than one person, to ensure that access is not lost in the case that someone leaves the company.
Within an ad account, there are three roles: ad account admin, contributor, and viewer.
-
Ad account admins can update the roles of ad account members. Like the business admin, they will also receive all transactional emails for the account and can edit the ad account’s billing, tax, and payment information. Ad account admins can view, create, edit, and delete campaigns and their associated assets. Multiple people within the ad account can have the ad account admin role.
-
Contributors can view, create, edit, and delete campaigns and their associated assets.
-
Viewers can view campaigns and their associated assets.
The business admin(s) and ad account admin(s) can assign or update someone’s ad account role by navigating to the Ad accounts page from the left hand side bar and then clicking on the gear icon (settings) next to the ad account.
