Feature multiple creatives in a swipeable experience across mobile and desktop as users stream music. Carousel ads are served to users when they open the Now Playing view or press pause.

 

This format currently supports two to six display assets, and is available exclusively through Spotify Ads Manager.

Carousel unit-level requirements

  • Number of cards: 2 to 6

  • Advertiser name: 25 characters maximum

  • Call-to-action button: Choose from predefined options 

  • Advertiser logo: 

    • Aspect ratio: 1:1 (square)

    • Resolution: minimum of 600x600 pixels

    • File size: maximum of 75MB  

    • File types: JPG or PNG

  • Clickthrough URL: All URLs should direct to HTTPS destinations only

Card-level details

  • Clickthrough URL: We recommend one per creative for shopping use cases, and one per carousel for lifestyle use cases. 

  • Tagline (optional): If left blank at the card level, the ad-level tagline is used.

  • Price (optional): Display a specific price on individual cards.

Creative requirements

All image cards must meet the following specs.

  • Aspect ratio: 1:1 (square)

  • Resolution: minimum of 600 x 600 pixels 

  • File size: maximum of 75MB per card

  • File type: JPEG or PNG

Objectives

All are available, except video views.

Third-party tags

  • Click command and 1x1 tracking pixel only.

  • All third-party tags and tracking URLs need to be in https format.

Reporting

 All standard metrics are available at the carousel level, such as impressions, clicks, CTR, CPM, and spend. Card-level reporting is not yet available. See our reporting metrics glossary for more details.

Carousel supports third-party impression and click tags at the ad level.
