This feature is currently in beta.
There are two steps to creating a Spotify Pixel.
-
Create your pixel in your business in Spotify Ads Manager. Only business admins can create a pixel. Once created, the pixel can be shared with your relevant ad accounts for use by ad account members in campaigns.
-
Choose and set up your conversion events.
Once you’ve created your pixel and set up your events, you’ll be able to copy the base pixel and event code(s) to install it on your website. If it's available to you, you can use a partner integration, such as Google Tag Manager, to install your pixel. Or, you can install your pixel and events manually yourself or with the help of your website developer.
Before you begin, make sure you or your developer have access to the source code of your website so you’re able to install the base pixel and event code. It’s a good idea to give yourself some lead time to create and install your pixel in advance of your desired campaign start date. This will give you time to make sure your pixel is working properly and sending event data to Spotify before you start your campaign.
Creating your pixel
-
Log into your Spotify Ads Manager account.
-
From the global menu in the top left corner of the screen, select Events.
-
Click the Connect data source button to open the pixel creation form.
-
Name your pixel and enter the website URL for your website. Your pixel should ideally be named after your brand or website and cannot be changed once the pixel is created. You only need one pixel for your entire website so enter the top-level, root domain of your website. This is usually your homepage. For example, www.example.com, not www.example.com/page
-
Choose which ad accounts you want to share your pixel with so it’s available when those accounts want to create pixel-measured campaigns. This is an optional step and you could add ad accounts at a later time, if needed.
-
Click the Create button once you’ve filled in all your information.
Once your base code has been created, you’ll be prompted to set up additional conversion events. The base code, which captures Page views, is required for conversion measurement, while all other conversion event types are optional and should be selected to align with your campaign’s primary objective(s).
