The following metrics are available in Spotify Ads Manager’s campaign table and standard reporting. Definitions for metrics across categories (Performance, Delivery dimensions, Structural Campaign Metadata, Stream Results, App Measurement and Conversion measurement) are provided below:
Performance

Total impressions: The number of times an ad has been served.

Note: Total Impressions = streamed impressions + downloaded impressions.

Streamed impressions: The number of times your ad has been streamed.

Downloaded impressions: The number of times your ad has been downloaded.

Reach: Total reach. The number of unique users, based on IP and user agent, that your ad was delivered to.

Streamed reach: The number of unique users, based on Spotify user ID, who streamed your ad on Spotify.
-
Downloaded reach: The number of unique users, based on IP and user agent, who downloaded your ads.
-
Frequency: Total Frequency. The average number of times each user, based on IP and user agent, was served your ads.

Streamed frequency: The average number of times each unique user, based on Spotify user ID, streamed your ads.

Downloaded frequency: The average number of times each user, based on IP and user agent, downloaded your ads.

Pacing: The rate at which an ad is delivered over the life of a campaign. Advertisers can choose different pacing methods which will impact how their ads are delivered over time.

Lifetime budget: The maximum amount to spend between start and end dates.

Average daily budget: The target amount to spend each day.

Bid cap: The most you’re willing to pay for 1,000 impressions.

Spend: The total amount spent in this campaign (#)

CPM: Cost per 1000 impressions. Updates hourly based on the budget and impressions delivered so far.

Clicks: The number of times your ads within the ad set were clicked.

Completion rate: The percentage of ads within the ad set served that were played to the end.
-
CTR (click-through rate): The percentage of ads within the ad set served that were clicked.

Starts: The number of times a user starts hearing/viewing your ad (#).
-
Ad played to 25%: The number of ads within the ad set served that played at least 25% of the way through.

Ad played to 50%: The number of ads within the ad set served that played at least 50% of the way through.

Ad played to 75%: The number of ads within the ad set served that played at least 75% of the way through.

Ad played to 100%: The number of ads within the ad set served that were played to the end. (see also: completion rate).

Video views: The number of times a video ad was shown to the intended audience and played for at least 3 seconds.

Video expands: The number of times someone tapped your ad to expand it.*

Video expand rate: The number of ad expands divided by the number of impressions.*

Structural / Campaign Metadata

Campaign ID: The unique ID assigned to a campaign in Ads Manager. A campaign is a group of ad sets and ads associated with an advertiser that has a specific objective. Because a campaign can contain multiple ad sets, it can also contain multiple schedules, start/end dates, audiences, and creatives.

Ad set: The groups of ads with shared targeting, budget, and scheduling settings.

Ad: The complete unit of visual and audio creative that listeners experience. It typically includes an audio or video creative asset, clickthrough URL and call to action. Audio ads may also include a visual image.

Format: The shape, size, and type of ad used to deliver content to a targeted audience. An ad’s format defines how the ad is presented—including its layout, functionality, and user interaction. Spotify’s core ad formats include audio, video, and display.

Start / End Date: When the campaign is set to start and end.
Streaming Results

Streams: The number of times users played at least 30 seconds of the promoted artist within 14 days of hearing/seeing your ad.

Listeners: The number of unique users who played at least 30 seconds of the promoted artist within 14 days of hearing/seeing an ad.

Listener conversion rate: The percentage of unique users exposed to your ad who played at least 30 seconds of the promoted artist within 14 days of hearing/seeing your ad.

Average streams per listener: The average number of times each listener streamed the promoted artist for at least 30s within 14 days of hearing/seeing the ad.

New listeners: The number of unique users who played at least 30 seconds of the promoted artist within 14 days of hearing/seeing your ad and have not streamed the artist in the last 28 days.

New listeners conversion rate: The percentage of unique users exposed to your ad who played at least 30 seconds of the promoted artist within 14 days of hearing/seeing your ad, and have not streamed the artist in the last 28 days.

Average streams per new listener: The average number of times each new listener streamed the promoted artist for at least 30s within 14 days of hearing/seeing the ad.
App Measurement

App installs (Kochava): The total number of Android or opted-in iOS app installs attributed to Spotify by Kochava.

App installs (AppsFlyer): The total number of Android or opted-in iOS app installs attributed to Spotify by AppsFlyer.

SKAdNetwork Installs: The total number of opted-in and opted-out iOS app installs attributed to Spotify via AppsFlyer's SKAdNetwork framework.

Page views: The total number of page views attributed to your ads within a 30-day window. Page views are counted when a webpage loads in the browser based on information received from your data sources connected to Spotify.

Product views: The number of product view events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window.
Note: Product view events are defined by the advertiser when setting up the data source and connecting it to Spotify. -
Start checkout: The number of start checkout events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window.
Note: Start checkout events are defined by the user when setting up the data source and connecting it to Spotify. -
Adds to cart: The number of add to cart events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window. Add to cart events are defined by the user when setting up the data source and connecting it to Spotify.

Leads: The number of lead events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window. Lead events are defined by the user when setting up the data source and connecting it to Spotify.

Purchases: The number of purchase events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window. Purchase events are defined by the user when setting up the data source and connecting it to Spotify.

Attributed revenue: The total amount of revenue attributed from purchase or lead events based on information received from data sources connected to Spotify.
Note: Revenue tracking events must include currency and value parameters in order to receive reporting for this metric. -
Average order value (AOV): The average value per transaction made by a customer based on attributed revenue and the count of purchase and lead events received from data sources connected to Spotify.
Note: To calculate this metric, data sources must be sending revenue tracking events, like purchases or leads, including value and currency parameters. -
Return on ad spend (ROAS): The total return on ad spend (ROAS) from attributed purchases. (Revenue/ Spend * 100 ) This is based on the value of purchase or lead events received from data sources connected to Spotify.

Customer acquisition cost (CAC): The cost of acquiring a new customer, calculated by dividing campaign spend by the number of purchases or leads attributed to Spotify-connected data sources.

Cost per lead: The cost of acquiring a lead, calculated by dividing campaign spend by the number of leads attributed to information received by Spotify-connected data sources.

Sign ups: The number of sign-up events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window.
Note: Sign-up events are defined by the user when setting up the data source and connecting it to Spotify. -
Custom events (1-5): The number of custom events attributed to your ads within a 30-day window.
Note: Custom events are defined by the user when setting up and connecting the data source to Spotify and can’t be renamed.
