Change history gives you a complete, filterable record of every change made within your Spotify Ads Manager account — including what changed, who made it, and the before and after values. Changes are captured across all levels of your account: Business, Ad Account, Campaign, Ad Set, and Ad.

 

Each entry in your change history includes:

  • The date and time the change was made

  • The entity type and name (for example, a specific campaign or ad set)

  • The field that was changed

  • The value before and after the change

  • The change category

  • Who or what made the change

 

When a single save includes multiple field changes, these are grouped together as one event.

 

Changes are attributed to one of four actor types:

  • Advertiser: a user with account access who made the change directly in Spotify Ads Manager

  • API: a change made programmatically via the Ads API

  • Support: a change made by a Spotify employee through internal tooling. The individual's name is never shown; these changes appear attributed to "Support" or "Managed Service"

  • System: an automated change made by the Spotify Ads Manager platform

 

Change history covers the past 180 days on a rolling basis.

 

Access and visibility

Change history is available to all users with access to the account. What you can see depends on your role:

  • Business admins and ad account admins can view all change history for their business and ad accounts, including billing-related changes and the email address of the person who made each change.

  • Business members, contributors, and viewers can view change history for the ad accounts they have been assigned to. Billing-related change details and actor email addresses are not visible to these roles.

 

Viewing change history

You can access change history by navigating to the Manage section from the left hand side bar and selecting Change history. Use the search to select the entity type (Business, Ad Account, Campaign, Ad Set, or Ad) and the specific entity name you want to review.

 

You can filter your results by date range, entity type, change type, and user.

 

Exporting change history

You can export your change history as a CSV by selecting Export. The export includes either your full change history or your filtered results, depending on the filters applied at the time of export.

 

Change history is available at no additional cost to all Spotify Ads Manager users.
