Spotify Ads Manager offers two ways to buy: Auction or Reserved.

Reserved Buying allows advertisers to purchase ads on a fixed CPM with guaranteed delivery, across music or podcast inventory (depending on market availability).

How Reserved Buying Works:

  1. Choose your buy type
Toggle from ‘Auction’ buying to ‘Reserved’ buying.

  2. Select your streaming context
Choose whether you want to run in music or podcasts.

  3. Build your ad set
Define your audience, select your format, set your budget, and schedule your campaign.

  4. Add your creative
Upload an existing ad creative, generate an audio ad with AI, or collaborate with one of our creative partners.

  5. Launch and measure
Launch your campaign and track performance in real-time.

Format Availability:

Format availability for reserved buying is based on the placement - Music (Audio, Video, and Display) and Podcasts (Audio).

FAQs

Why am I unable to submit my reserved campaign?

You cannot proceed with booking your reserved campaign if the ad set budget delivery likelihood indicator is showing ‘Low’ or ‘Restricted’. Both states indicate that there is not enough inventory to deliver your budget in the current schedule. To be able to proceed with booking, try expanding your targeting or lengthening your schedule so that the indicator shows ‘High’.
